EQ3 is Canada’s premier designer, manufacturer, and retailer of furniture and home goods. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, EQ3 designs, manufacturers, and sells a wide range of home goods including furniture, upholstery, lighting, tabletop, and accessories. Established in 2001, EQ3 is a vertically-integrated company with a reputation for excellence built on two decades of providing high-quality design and service to the Canadian market. The brand has continued to expand its US operations, increasing the reach of its distinctly Canadian perspective, timeless designs, and impeccable customer experience in North America. EQ3 now has a total of 16 stores across North America with five within the US, including New York, California, Connecticut, and Chicago.

- As a division of Palliser, a family-owned business with a reputation for reliability and quality stemming back to the 1940s, EQ3 continues to embody these foundational characteristics throughout all its endeavors, especially in their relationships with its consumers, suppliers, employees and overall community.
- EQ3 both designs and manufactures out of their headquarters in Winnipeg, ultimately creating value for the consumer while ensuring high-quality materials and working conditions at every step of the way. EQ3 produces their upholstery locally in Winnipeg, Canada, and owns and operates a manufacturing plant in Indonesia where most of their case goods are produced.
- 70% of all product is manufactured by EQ3 directly through their own original designs and manufacturing capabilities.
- 50% of EQ3’s products are made in Canada, with all custom upholstery made at the company’s headquarters in Winnipeg, which employs sewers, cutters, framers, and upholsterers.
- Personalizations are at the core of EQ3, offering over 3,000 customizable skus, including bases, tops, fabrics, and dimensions, across its product lines and over 150 fabrics to choose from for upholstery.
- A vertically integrated company EQ3 is able to offer shorter lead times on deliveries for casegoods and upholstery with standard manufacturing and shipping times between 6-8 weeks and 2-4 weeks, respectively.
- Emblematic of Canadian values, EQ3 strives for inclusivity and diversity across the brand and has collaborated with over 10 international designers including; John Zabawa, Los Angeles-based artist and graphic designer on the hand-painted Air Vases, Coronado Rug, and Seeker Lumbar Pillow (2020); Canadian textile designer Carla Zacharias on the Alfred Vessels, Desert Table Runners, and Tartan Rug (2019); Danish artist and designer Nina Flagstad Vorning on the Floral Rug and Throw (2019); Thom Fougere, Canadian-based designer on the Bar Cart, Steel Wood Side Table, and Bench Rack Seat; MyKilos, Germany-based contemporary furniture and design label on the Chiara Chair (2015); Oregon-based Studio Gorm on the Lithic Collection (2020); Toronto-based lighting studio, Anony on the Glub Lamp and Row Table Lamp (2020); Matthew Kroeker, Winnipeg-based industrial designer on the Marcel Bedroom Collection and Reverie Collection (2017); Tom Chung, an industrial designer based in Vancouver on the Plank Collection (2019); Canadian-based furniture designer Shawn Place on the Place Collection (2019); as well as Rainville Sangare, a team of interdisciplinary designers based in Montreal who will be debuting a new collection in July 2021.
- Design Experts at EQ3 are available completely free-of-charge for in-store consultation services and virtual appointments to navigate EQ3’s range of personalizations while also finding the right style, fit, and price-range to meet the client’s needs. Through AR technology, the designers can place any EQ3 product customized to the client’s specifications in their home.
- EQ3 has long prioritized sustainability, built into an ethos and vertically-integrated business model that emphasizes the longevity in products that families are meant to live with for decades and in 2021 announced its commitment to becoming a circular company through two main activations, including:
- EQ3 ReHome - a new online resale program with Partner FloorFound that picks-up oversized e-commerce returns from customers and house them for resale on FloorFound’s site, their partner network, and the EQ3 US website.
- EQ3’s Smart Packaging – Initiative to eliminate styrofoam from packaging by 2023.
